Kilkee County Clare Cliffs
One of the places to visit in County Clare in Ireland. Beautiful place! I wonder about this cave though, I wonder how it feel and look like inside that cave. I am sure there are lots of things that are interesting, a good place to explore.
Pre-cautions, pre-cautions is a must if you decided to do some climbing and caving in this place though, always good to be prepared and ready all the time, as whenever and wherever doing this kind of endeavour the motto is "expect the unexpected!"
Kilkee County Clare Cliffs
That led me to think of the wise and older people. I am certain that the elderly people has great stories to tell and share with the younger ones.
When I was a little child I always enjoy whenever my grandparents are telling me their stories. How was their lives before and during the war. How they lived their lives then. How the Spanish occupation of the Philippine Islands was. The occupation of Japanese and Americans.
My grandparents and their friends has so much stories to share with us then. And I enjoyed every moment of those times. I always looked forward to the evening's story telling.
Same with this beautiful, massive, and formidable rocks/cliffs, I am sure there is lots of great stories behind it. And I will be one of the people that will be happy to hear those great stories.:)
Leenane County Galway
This photo was taken in Leenane County Galway, beautiful landscape isn't it? Relaxing and peaceful.
I believe and think that if we just learn to slow down and learn to take time to see and appreciate the things around us, then that will help us also to think about lives and to be thankful of every thing, may it be small or big things that we have or had in our lives.
Taking time to slow down helps us to re-focus in our priorities in life and will help us to discard some clutters that we unconciously accomulated as the days passes by.
Simplicity is the key to a peaceful and happy life. The simplier we live our lives the better. Not saying that you have to live and discard everything that you have now, what I am saying is that, we should learn to say "NO" to things that will divert us and get us off to our priorities and goals in life.
Killaloe, County Clare
This place has a magnificent view of County Clare Lake and the County Clare itself. You can get more information about this place from this link:
http://www.irishtourist.com/clare/towns/killaloe
An ideal place for landscape photographs (for those that are into photography that is). I wonder the history behind these two towns and the County Clare Lake....
County Clare Lake
An ideal place to just sit and write some random thoughts, read and just relax. The lake makes it really nice to just sit on this garden. A perfect place to have a "personal picnic" as well!
I think and believe that taking the time to slow down and just sit and be still once in a while in this busy world is a good way to reflect and think of life and re-focus our goals or priorities.
Taking time to de-clutter our lives and make it simple by eliminating those un-necessary time consuming activities which doesn't add value to our lives is a time spent well!
Dancing in the Moonlight
I love walking in the moonlight or even dancing as I walk or just being outside in the garden watching and enjoying the moonlight. I remember when I was growing up, when the moon is full my friends and I will always meet up infront of our house and just talk, dancing or walk around the blocks under the moonlight. It was fun times.
I remember one night and it was full moon I was out with my friends. I sneaked out of the house with my father's motorcylce and went for a joy ride with some friends. It was fun until I hit a tree and I was thrown out from the motorcycle. Of course, I got reprimanded the following day when my father discovered that his motorcycle has some broken parts (mirrors, headlights, etc.) and found out that I sneaked it out that night!
I do have lots of good memories of Moonlight. I enjoy the moonlight as much as I enjoy the sunrise and the sunset.
Amazing how God make all these beautiful creations. The moon, sun, lake, forest all of them gives us some kind of peace, joy and enjoy them, that is if we take time to stop, look or observe these creations, then we will learn to appreciate and be thankful of them.
Looking on this photo I wonder if there other people that are enjoying this time of the night with the full moon. The reflection of the moonlight into the water is just amazingly beautiful. I am sure the fishes (or whatever creatures that lives in that lake) are enjoying the moonlight as well, they probably dancing or playing in the moonlight too!:)
Serenity
Peaceful lake does help you calm your restless spirit. Isn't this photo calming? I was once with a couple of friends in a lake and we went boating. The place is similar to this one but in Asia. The place were so serene that you can hear all kinds of sounds that comes from the trees and bushes along the lake. The serenity of the place is soothing, at the same time I felt that we are not the only one in that place.
I always think that places like this one has some unseen creatures that either happy and enjoying the serenity of their place or just waiting for something or someone that will try and bold enough to disrupt their peaceful turf.
There is a saying that "a quiet lake or river runs deeper" and that's always in my mind whenever I am in this kind of place. Thinking of what is out there or under. I did try to just play the water and wait what will come up and who will bother to investigate who made the ripples. So far I've only seen small fishes swam upwards.:)
It did make me think of people. There are people that are quiet (sometimes too private), that they will not speak to you unless spoken first. I do believe also what the bible says that "the lesser we talk, the lesser sin that comes out of our mouth" or you can re-phrase it this way "less words, less lies ." There is truth in that though.
But then, with out saying anything at all is not right either. I believe in the word "communication" if we keep silent and let our feelings bottled up then, that is not right and healthy either. I believe in saying the right words, at the right time, with the right person. I guess, we have to learn to be wise when to talk and when to stop talking. Besides, communication is a two-way thing, if one person is doing all the talk then it's not communication at all!
Same with this photo of serenity, in some way it does communicate with us in it's own way. We hear the sounds from everywhere when we are in this serene place. The sound of birds, animals, bugs, wind, ripples of water, etc. is a way of this serene place to communicate with us in a soothing and peaceful way:)
Cliffs of Moher, County Clare
It reminds of how some circumstances in our lives can help us "smooth" the rough edges that we experienced in our lives. Sometimes the circumstances that comes our way is a blessing in disguised. That even if those circumstances made us struggle, beaten us, or making our lives misserable, in some ways it did help us strengthen our character and learn from the experience.
There is beauty looking on those rocks...nicely shaped and smoothened by the rushing water or washes by the rain. It was shaped as the time passes by. Same thing with our lives, there is beauty in a person that learned and strengthened by the experiences in life. We got shaped into a maturity in life with wisdom and strong and ready for whatever "rushing of water" that comes into our lives.
Cliffs of Moher, County Clare
In rock or mountain climbing it's not how fast you get to the top or summit. It is how you climb that matter the most. Been climbing for years (not since I got here in Ukraine five years ago though) with friends that has the same passion of this sports. In climbing you have to have a buddy, (same with diving) that will assist you when and if needed while trekking along the trails.
Some climbers start off fast and seems like in a hurry to get to the summit or top of the rock or mountain. But then, along the way to the top these climbers gets too tired and out of breath with the energy that they excert to get to the summit. Some of them doesn't get to the summit without dehydration or having a hard time to catch up with the group 'coz of lack of energy or weariness.
The key in climbing is to start in a normal pace of trekking and as the trekking progress try to find your own pace to catch up with the group in trekking. Each climber has their own pace in trekking. When you find that pace of yours, stick with it until you get to the summit.
There is what we called "take 5 or 10" - it means taking 5 or 10 minutes rest along the trail to give everyone time to rest and drink or have their trail food to energize them, especially those that are having a hard time to catch up and logging behind the group. Taking 5 or 10 minutes rest is depend how long is trek will be.
The important thing in climbing is to get to the peak with the group and that nobody got into any accident or illness while trekking. The goal is to get to the peak together safely.
Climbing can be compared to our lives. All of us "climb" in this life with a purpose to get to our "summit." Some "climb" faster and wanting to get to their destination but sometimes on the way they got tripped and got hurt or they tripped others and hurt others. These kind of "climbers" don't take time to find their "pace" and all of a sudden they stopped in the middle of the trail 'cos they are tired and weary. Some quit and give up as they find it hard to continue to their destination. As a result they feel un-fulfilled or a failure.
Others learned to find their "pace" in "climbing" and learned to stop from time to time to reflect and get some rest to re-charge themselves to continue their "climb" to the summit. They also learned to "climb" with other climbers with them, hence they have people with them to encourage them and help them to pursue and not give up as the trail gets tough and hard to trek. These kind of "climbers" get to their summit safely and learned along the way.
Caves and Caving
This photo was taken from the world famous Cliffs of Moher in County Clare in Ireland.
Looking from this photo you would think that you are just seeing a cliff, water and a crack on a rock but look again!
If you are me, you will investigate those cracks on this rock. I am sure there are more to just seeing those cracks.
Would be fun to get down there and get inside those caves and do some caving while there. I am sure there is another world inside those little caves!
One thing though, always take pre-cautions in every endeavour that you are planning. I think, there's no such thing as over-planning or over-prepared? But, I know that there is such thing as "understimating" a place or pre-cautions. Better prepared than sorry!
Cliffs of Moher, County Clare
Ireland is home to many popular and great artists. A beautiful place to visit during summer or spring. One of my favorite band (U2 band) is from Ireland.:)
A great place to think and to jot down some random thoughts (that is if you are like me that jot down random thoughts). I like to be in a place like this to think, write or read. You can leave me in a place like this for hours and I will be content and happy!:)
The Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are one of Ireland's top Visitor attractions. The Cliffs are 214m high at the highest point and range for 8 kilometres over the Atlantic Ocean on the western seaboard of County Clare. O'Brien's Tower stands proudly on a headland of the majestic Cliffs. From the Cliffs one can see the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, as well as The Twelve Pins, the Maum Turk Mountains in Connemara and Loop Head to the South.
The Cliffs of Moher are home to one of the major colonies of cliff nesting seabirds in Ireland. The area was designated as a Refuge for Fauna in 1988 and as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) under the EU Birds Directive in 1989. Included within the designated site are the cliffs, the cliff-top maritime grassland and heath, and a 200 metre zone of open water, directly in front of the cliffs to protect part of the birds' feeding area. The designation covers 200 hectares and highlights the area's importance for wildlife.
See the Events page for information on guided tours of the cliff side conducted daily by the Cliffs of Moher Rangers
Fresh Water
But I am settling with the fact that there are some creation of God that needs fresh water and salty water (sea water).
And that led me to think of how different and unique human beings are. How each one of us was created with unique ways. God alone knows us inside and out. He knows what we need before even we ask for it or even before we know that we need it.
Differences or uniqueness is good, can you imagine if we are all the same?! That would be weird or boring..which is worst?!:)
Rushing Water
It made me think of life or a person, that each person has their own share of tough times in life. Some get through it well and beautifully by learning from it and their character was strengthened by the experience despite of hardship that they went through. Just like the smooth and beautiful, nice looking stones.
Some were roughly drowned by their circumstances and came out bitter, angry, and hate the world, hence the character was flawed by their tough times. Just like the rough and flawed or not nice looking stones.
I love to pick-up those nice and smooth looking stones whenever I am in a river or lake. Same in life, people will not want to be with people that are bitter, angry or carrying their baggages with them and looking so grim and hating the world.
The rushing water of the river or lake are the one that makes those stones nice and smooth and beautiful by being washed or as the water "rush" through them regularly.
Same with our lives, we will always have problems that will "rush" through us or in us - what matter the most is how we stand and deal with them when it comes. We can choose to be bitter, angry and hating the world or we can choose to learned from it and be wise.
Sunset by the Lake
Whenever I watch the sunset (that is whenever an opportunity comes to do so) the more I realised that life is just like the sunset, it comes and go.
It made me think of how and what the day will be and what will be the end of it. I guess, what matter the most is how our day ended.
The sun rise with a purpose and it sets at the end of the day with the hope that another sunrise or day will come.

Sunset by the Lake
Another beautiful sunset, this time by the lake of County Clare in Ireland. Wherever I watch a sunset it is always beautiful. Same sunset but with different way on how the sun painted the horizon.
Just amazingly beautiful! I can watch the sunset or sunrise everyday without fail if that's all I will do:)

Potter's Statue
Saw this potter's statue infront of the train station in Stoke-On-Trent when I visited my friends hometown, where their parents reside.
Stoke-On-Trent is not a big city in UK but it's beautiful and it has it's own history. There are severtal beautiful pottery shops around this lovely and quiet town.
This part of UK is home to some lovely potteries. I was able to visit one of them. But I am sure there lots of them around Stoke-On-Trent.
I like and enjoy riding the trains around UK. Interesting scenery along the way and it is convenient too.
Remnants of Coventry's Old Church
The remnants from inside of one of the oldest church in Coventry (UK) Even if almost nothing left of this massive building, it is still beautiful.
One of my visit in this place was just sitting on one of the benches that are still there and imagining the place what it used to be. I bet it was really beautiful.
Besides this remnants is a new and modern church building that the community of Coventry built. I still prefer the old church though, but I guess, they can't save or built it again like it was.
A place to visit whenever you are in Coventry in UK.
Coventry's Old Church
This is the ruins of the old church in Coventry in UK. A friend of mine brought me here when I visited Coventry.
It is a huge beautiful church but what's left of the ruins of it is the foundation around it...not much left inside really...but still beautiful.
I visited it several times while in Coventry. Just imagining how it looks like when it was still intact and being used.
Multi-talented Musician
This multi-talented musician is just amazing! He has all this musical intruments around him and he plays them all.
It's amazing to watch him played several of his intruments at the same time. Interesting musician indeed. His music is really good too.
We made friends with him later on and took a pic of him with my friends.
Musicians on Charles Bridge
As you go along the Charles Bridge of Old Town in Prague, you'll see several musicians (in group or individual) playing music with their cd album in display for passers by to buy if they enjoy their music.
These musicians are really good! I stood and listen to several of them as we go along Charles Bridge that day. I wish I did buy at least one their cd though..
But one thing for sure, Prague is a place where you can find numerous and talented musicians and artists.
The City of Prague
The City of Prague. One of Europe's beautiful cities. One of the places to visit in Europe.
If you are a person that doesn't like too much crowd, then don't go to Prague in summer. Spring or Autumn will be less crowded.
Prague's Pride
One of the oldest churches in Old Town in Prague. A massive and beautiful architecture.
It's amazing the effort and art that was put into this building. Inside is beautiful and this building is well preserved too.
One of the land marks of Prague. Another place to visit when you are in Prague.

Old House
One of the old houses along the Charles Bridge in Old Town in Prague. Beautiful isn't it?
I think this house is now a museum and there is a restuarant inside of it, saw from outside.
Charles Bridge is a must place to visit when you are in Prague. Full of history.
Prague's Charles Bridge
Charles Bridge is a famous historical bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague. Charles Bridge used to be the most important connection between the Old Town, Prague Castle and adjacent areas until 1841.
Also this 'solid-land' connection made Prague important as a trade route between east and west Europe. The bridge was originally called the Stone Bridge or the Prague Bridge but has been the "Charles Bridge" since 1870.
The bridge is 516 meters long and nearly 10 meters wide, resting on 16 arches shielded by ice guards. It is protected by three bridge towers, two of them on the Lesser Quarter side and the third one on the Old Town side. The Old Town bridge tower is often considered to be one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world.
The bridge is decorated by a continuous alley of 30 statues and statuaries, most of them baroque-style, erected around 1700.
During the night Charles Bridge is a quiet witness of medieval times. But during the day it changes its face into a very busy place.
Russian painters, owners of the kiosks, and black sailors trade to carry away some money on the tourists.

Prague's Famous Clock
Astronomical Clock or Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock. The Orloj is mounted on the southern wall of Old Town City Hall in the Old Town Square and is a popular tourist attraction.
The Orloj is composed of three main components: the astronomical dial, representing the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky and displaying various astronomical details;
"The Walk of the Apostles", a clockwork hourly show of figures of the Apostles and other moving sculptures; and a calendar dial with medallions representing the months.
visit: http://www.prague.com/s/praguecity
The most visited place in Old Town of Prague. One has to come and visit and watch this clock with it's very unique hourly show. People waited to see this moment, hence this part of Old Town is always jam packed with tourists.
Fishing in Prague's Old Town
Found this man in the middle of Old Town in Prague, fishing:) He positioned himself in the middle of Old Town in the middle of the day and just patiently waiting for some fish to get into his fish hook!:)
I wonder if he did catch a fish in that place. A very unusual place for fishing I would say!
Also wonder if that man is drunk or not in his right mind...who will fish in the middle of a tourist spot like Old Town of Prague?!..hhmmm
Prague's Pride
One of Prague's pride, the beautiful and ancient church at Old Town. Old Town is one of the tourist spots in Prague (Czech Republic).
Went to visit Prague 2003 to meet up with friends and at the same time renew my Ukrainian visa. I did enjoy my time in Prague and with my friends.
One of Europe's beautiful cities. Packed with tourist during summer time. One of that I did in Prague was the rock climbing. It is one of the place for it. If i will visit Prague again (God willing) I will definitely do rock climbing again!:)
Thanks to my friends and Czech's youth that brought me that beautiful place!:)
Snowy Road
This is the side of the road going to my place. During winter tons of snow are piled up on the side of the road so that the road is passable for people and vehicles alike.
I like walking on the snow though...I feel like a kid when I walking on the snow...I always wanted to stop and just play with the snow for a while!:)
Snowy Market
This is the market place (a small one near me) and during winter it's like this.
Thick snow infront of their stalls. They have to clear it up several times in a day to be able for them and the customers to get into their store without getting into deep snow.
Good and fun for snow ball games though:)
Snowy Ukraine
This is what it looks like during winter here in Ukraine. Snows everyday. And roads are covered in deep snow.
This is the small market near my place. And people are walking in deep snow to go to the market unless the road or the whole market place was cleared off snow.
Although kids are enjoying it. They love to play with their sledge during this time:)
Tea Glass Holder
The tea glass holder on the trains in Ukraine. It's really cool. They uses regular glasses for hot tea or coffee. They use this glass holder and presto, just like a cup or a mug!:)
This glass holders varies in designs. The old ones are made of metal, the ones that the train is using now are made of aluminum or thin metal. They are lighter than the original ones.
I've got a couple of this glass holder for myself. Just thought of taking it with me as souvenir:)
Handmade Nativity Scene
This is a present from a good friend. She got this from China. This was handmade by the chinese people. Beautiful isn't it?!:)
I always use this as part of my Christmas decors here in Ukraine. I do celebrate the Christmas here in Ukraine on the 25th, and also celebrate the Ukrainian Christmas on the 7th of January:)

Ukrainian Sandwich
Buter Brodi (Sandwich)-Ukrainian sandwich, this is a common food of Ukrainians. It varies though, sometimes they put tomatoes, pickles and cheese. Sometimes, they put "sala" (pork's fat/lard) and cheese on their sandwich. I haven't tried it, but they love it. Ukrainians love "sala"- one of their delicacies.

Winter in Ukraine
Winter in Ukraine is frosty and chilly in the beginning. It does snow everyday and the roads are covered with think snow.
I do enjoy the snow though and got used to the chilly winter. I like it when I woke up early in the morning and see the ground covered with snow and nobody walk on it yet. So white and beautiful to look at.
It has it's nasty blizzards as well. That I don't like as it does hit your face really hard and it is painful.
I like it as well when the trees are covered with snows. It's amazing how the snows stays even to it's thin branches...just beautiful!
Homemade Cake
A Ukrainian home made cake. We order cake whenever there is someone that is having a birthday.
There is a Ukrainian woman that bakes cake at her home. All of her customers just call in to order a cake a day ahead. Her cake is really good and cheaper compare to the store or supermarkets.
Sunset and the Moon
I can still watch the sunset here in Ukraine in another way. Sunset by the residential buildings. The reflection of the sunset when it hits the building has a really nice effect. It is different and interesting.
The moon on this pic is also showing while the sun is setting. I was watching the sun set from my window. Taking photos while watching the sun set that afternoon.
We can always enjoy the sunset and sunrise wherever we are. Not only on the beach:)
Ukrainian Mini-Store
You'll see this mini-stores around in Ukraine. I know, very patriotic isn't it? They even painted their mini-stores like their flag.
It is like one of those play house in some children's play ground. They do sell almost everything in this mini-store. Of course, the most saleable are the alcohol, cigarettes and bread.
I wonder if these mini-stores still get profits after several chains of supermarkets sprouted like mushrooms...hhmmm.
See Anyone?
It can be really foggy sometimes during autumn here in Ukraine. This one is an example of how thick the fog can be at times.
You don't want to be outside at night at this weather. I took this photo at 11:00AM and the road is barely visible. Most of the days are dark during autumn until winter.
You can't see the people, house or other vehicle until they are just a couple of steps away from you. Frightening and creepy sometimes.
Autumn Leaves
The autumn leaves. I always like the colour of the trees when autumn comes. How the colour of the leaves changes from green to golden yellow or others to red.
It is a sight to see. And the golden leaves doesn't stay longer on the tree. The strong autumn wind blows them away from the branches.
It is also nice to see how these golden yellow leaves on the ground. One time my friends and I played with these golden leaves by lying down on them and making crown of it. It was fun:)
Ukrainian Funeral
Ukrainian Funeral. They carry the casket without cover. The casket's cover is being carried by others and on top of it are the traditional Ukrainian bread and flowers.
Funeral is another event in Ukraine that is interesting to observe. It has several traditions that is really interesting for non-Ukrainian.
Bread is for the dead person so that he or she will not go hungry as his/her spirit travel to the place where he/she should be.
Water is for the dead person's travel as well, so that he or she will not get thirsty on the way.
White scarves tied on the arm of the family and close relatives of the dead person. So, people can recognized who the family member and relatives are.
I attended several of Ukrainian funerals and I found it really interesting.
Fur Anyone?
Frozen wild animals for sale in one of Kiev's tourist place called "Podil". The one hanging is a fur of a wild fox and others are frozen animals.
I am not sure if people are actually buying frozen wild animals. But then I guess, they do otherwise they will not sell them. Tourists maybe are the ones that buys them.
I know I will not buy them myself. I will always be reminded that those animals are frozen to death intentionally!
Winter Sunset
Another winter sunset in Ukraine. It's really beautiful with the white and snowy road.
God is the greatest artist of all. All that He created are beautiful!:)
Rufa
Rufa is a friend's cat. My friend likes cat and she have two of them in her flat.
Rufa have a sister. She is not white as she is though. Her sister's colour is grey.
Rufa doesn't like to be photographed.
Bokzal
This is the Central "Bokzal" (Central Train Station) of Kiev. All the trains coming from within Ukraine and from other neighboring Eastern Europe stops here.
There are also a trains that comes from UK, Germany, and other European countries that stops in this station.
I always get off here whenever I go to Kiev or going the International Airport. There is buses for the airport that leaves every 20 minutes.
Friendly Bird
This friendly litter bird was flying around me that morning as I was waiting for my train and having my meal at Mc Donald at the central train station in Kiev.
It even came near me and let me took a photo. I did feed it as a thank you:)
