Source of Peace

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in His ways . . . Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.
PSALMS 128:1,2

WE think it a gallant thing, to be fluttering up to heaven with our wings of knowledge and speculation; whereas the highest mystery of a divine life here, and of perfect happiness hereafter, consists in nothing but mere obedience to the Divine will. Happiness is nothing but that inward sweet delight, which will arise from the harmonious agreement between our wills and the will of God. There is nothing in the whole world able to do us good or hurt, but God, and our own will: neither riches nor poverty, nor disgrace nor honor, nor life nor death, nor angels nor devils; but willing, or not willing, as we ought.
RALPH CUDWORTH

The one misery of man is self-will, the one secret of blessedness is the conquest over our own wills. To yield them up to God is rest and peace. What disturbs us in this world is not "trouble," but our opposition to trouble. The true source of all that frets and irritates, and wears away our lives, is not in external things, but in the resistance of our wills to the will of God expressed by external things.

young people braving the freezing cold winter in Ukraine during the "orange revolution" last december 2004...thousands of people was there at maidan square in kyiv during the orange revolution...the people power that over turned the previous "official" proclaimed president last 2004 election...the orange revolution was heard for it's scream to have another presidential election as the "official" proclaimed president was said that the election was manipulated in favor of his opposition (yanokovich)... another election was held...and this time he (yuchengko) won as the new president...which of course didn't recognized by the other party...hence protesting still going on...inspite of the proclamation of the new president...as for the young and old people alike that protested and joined the "orange revolution" they were happy and satisfied that their candidate won the second time...the questions now are: does the new president meeting the expectations of the people of Ukraine (mostly young Ukrainians) that they have of him? can his new government deliver what it says? can his government live up to the expectations of the Ukrainian people? can he make the change in the government system that they've been expecting and waiting for for a long time? can he lead the nation of Ukraine to the democrat and corrupt-free government? can his government give hope to the hopeless young Ukrainian? just a few questions that i am sure are in the mind of the people of Ukraine now that they put their elected president in it's position...we just have to wait and see...besides, it is still too early to tell...or is it?
