Statue

This is the friend that stole his friend's girl. According to my friend, this guy is a poet, upon knowing this, its no wonder that this guy wooed the girlfriend of his friend.

Women are easily wooed with poems or good poet. And, that is an advantage that poets have when they compete with their opponents when it comes to pursuing a woman's heart, i believe:)

Another random statue in Helsinki that I saw. I asked my friend about it but he also don't know what the statue represents for.

Maybe will find out about this later on, will have to do some research on this one:)

Another Statue, this one is part of Helsinki's history. The story of this is about two young men that got into conflict 'coz the other guy wooed (stole) his girlfriend from him. What a friend huh?

Friendship will always be tested just like other relationships that we have. And when that time of testing comes, we will know what really is in our hearts and see ourselves how we deal with the situation.

Another random sculpture or statue of some kind in Helsinki...i was entertained by them actually...seeing random sculptures or statues everywhere...interesting!:).

Center of Helsinki

This is the center of Helsinki City. It's centralgatan in Finish language. Finish and Swedish language has smilarities. Finish people must learn the Swedish language at school.

With Swedish its not a must but a choice...if they want to learn Finish language or not in school.

The railway tracks in Helsinki. Have you wondered how many meters those railway tracks (not just in Helsinki but any railway tracks)? I did, o wondered how many long hours of works people put into building those long railway tracks...that i think, most of the time we took for granted...

One of the government buildings in Helsinki - The Parliament Building. This is the place where the executive decisions were made for the people and country...pretty impressive building isn't it?!

I like these massive buildings, they can be intimadated most of the time but when you are inside of these buildings, you just feel its presence and the security it gives...although it can easily destroyed, i know...a temporary security that it offers, i guess...

Finland has many rocky mountains/hills around it. One thing that I like about Finland is that you can be in the city center and yet, you can be in a forest or an island within 20-30 minutes.

There are many things that you can do in Finland. You can go to the city center (Helsinki) to shop or dine, or you can go to the island and enjoy the nature or historical places...

One of the important people of Helsinki - one of the presidents of Finland (his name is: Kyösti Kallio). I do think about it whenever i see an statue of someone. My mind wander back to the time of that person (statue).

I always wanted to know the reason for making a statue of the person. What did that person contributed that earned him or her an statue or monument. Honoring people that made some great contributions to a country is a good thing.

But sometimes there are some statue as well that i know that those people didn't contribute to the welfare of the country. And i am wondering about why people will make an statue of someone that is not honorable but caused tragic to a country....

I like the way the sun set painted the sky. And everyday its different too!:) That is why I don't get bored watching the sun set or sun rise every time i get an opportunity to do so..its just beautiful!!:)

One of Helsinki's Museums. It is a huge one too! I always like to go and visit museums wherever I go. I find it interesting to know the background of places and how it was then.

As I go around a museum, I always try to imagine how it was as I was looking the stuff that are in the museum.:)

Ticket Machine

A machine on the train in Helsinki in Finland. Very convenient to everyone that don't have time to buy a ticket if you are running after your train going to work or going home.

I think this is a smart idea, that you can buy your ticket on the train. And its self-service as well!:) Everyone will get a ticket as there is someone that checks tickets on the train.

Another creature that enjoys God's creation - rabbits, yes!:) can you see them? they've been running around this park and just enjoying playing...i haven't seen such tame rabbits and they are funny too, a joy to watch definitely!:)

A lovely place to go for a walk...another of God's creation that people enjoy...isn't God just good and all-knowing? He created things to co-exist together with it's purposes:)

At this time of they year people are enjoying the weather and doing what they enjoy or miss doing during the cold winter - jogging, running, walking or cycling; these are all fun and good activities, especially when at the end of it you get the treat of watching the sun set or sun rise (depends if you do these activities in the morning or afternoon) - either way it is lovely to watch the sun rise or set...a treat for me!:)
